    Camping Overnight Inside Monument Valley

Day 5 of my G Adventures tour saw us saying goodbye to Moab and hello to a 3-hour bus ride. We started our day with a visit to Arches National Park and after a sweltering hot morning we started our journey to Monument Valley. This would be our last full day in Utah. It had been amazing Utah is absolutely stunning. Halfway through our journey we stopped at a small town called Bluff. Here we had soft serve ice cream from the Bluff Historic Fort. I had to eat it so quick because it was around 45 degrees today. “I’m tired, I think I’ll go home now” Driving along the…

Route 66: Williams & Seligman, Arizona

Built in 1926, Route 66 is the ultimate American road trip route. Originally starting in Chicago and ending in Santa Monica. During my G Adventures Canyon Country & Coasts tour, we managed to do a couple of pit stops along Route 66. Williams, AZ After packing up and saying goodbye to the Grand Canyon, we arrived in the nearby town of Williams. Pulling into Williams was like stepping back in time to the 1950’s. It was everything you’d expect a town on Route 66 to be, full of diners and old style shops. We began our short visit at a coffee shop called Brewed Awakenings. There are very few chain…

A City Girl Hikes: The Grand Canyon’s Rim Trail

A City Girl Hikes: The Grand Canyon’s Rim Trail In July this year I returned to the Grand Canyon for a second time. This time I was spending two nights here camping with my G adventures group. On my previous visit back in April, we were on a day tour from Las Vegas. So had minimal time here, considering the 3-4 hour drive either way. So this time around I got to experience far more. Upon arriving to the Grand Canyon, Lindsey our tour guide insisted we put paper bags over our heads. I started to wonder if it was because I was makeup-free today, but no, it was for…

What To Expect When Touring With G Adventures

This year I took my very first tour with G Adventures. I knew that when I finished my Disney program in July, I’d want to use the travel time I’d had left on my visa. I’d always wanted to see the big national parks in Utah and decided now was as good a time than any! I’m a terrible driver, and even if I wasn’t there would be no way I’d be doing a road trip through the desert by myself. So a guided tour was the way to go. The main places I wanted to visit were, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley and Horseshoe Bend.…
