Welcome! I’m Rachael!
Originally from London, England, I moved to Canada on an IEC visa in 2016. I met my husband here in Canada and loved the place so much I decided to stay!
Since making Canada my home, I’ve grown a passion for the outdoors and spend most of my weekends outside enjoying nature. Before I moved to Canada I had zero outdoor experience and have learned a lot of hard lessons since.
In 2017 I left Canada to move to Orlando for a year. I worked at Walt Disney World for the year and ended my year road-tripping through the American Southwest and East Coast. I returned to Canada, became a permanent resident and then flew to Australia in 2020, where I traveled for two weeks and then spent the next 2 months living with a cat in Covid lockdown (not the worst lockdown experience)
I’ve made British Columbia my home and I think it’s one of the most incredible places in the world. If you are visiting British Columbia (and I really recommend you do!) I have plenty of detailed guides for you to check out.
Living in BC allows me to spend my free time hiking, camping and embarking on world-class road trips.
The purpose of this blog is to inspire and empower you to brave the outdoors and take those bucket-list adventures. I believe everyone can learn to love and respect nature, and enjoy spending time outdoors too.
